Sultan is a Pennsylvania native and has lived in State College for almost a decade. He has been happily married to his wife whom he met in graduate school. Sultan earned a bachelor's degree in psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a doctoral degree in counseling psychology from Oklahoma State University.
Given his work in the mental health field, Sultan is acutely aware of the impact of societal and political forces on the health and well-being of local citizens, particularly those from marginalized communities. Sultan was motivated to serve as an opportunity to help secure just and equitable treatment of all Patton residents and facilitate transparency and honesty in local governance. Sultan is committed to life-long learning and lending his expertise to meet the needs of the Patton Township community.
